Island City Sculpture Trail - Cork, Ireland
We were delighted to work with Lightscape, based in Ireland.
Based in Dublin, Lightscape is an award-winning studio Specialising in Projection Mapping, Interactive, Immersive and Live Visuals & Stage Design.
Lightscape required an outdoor, permanent audio visual solution for The Island City Sculpture Trail in Cork.
Aside from a bespoke projector enclosure, due to the installation parameters we also designed a climate controlled AV cabinet to house control equipment. We were more than happy to help with the initial concept and design of, not only the outdoor projector enclosure, but also the best and safest way to mount the enclosure 2m high. The designers solution utilised quad lighting truss, and a ballast base, which met all requirements.
The AV cabinet houses control PC, display screen and keyboard and is situated directly below the enclosure on the centre lighting truss, with cabling running up the truss into the enclosure.
Brian of Lightscape said "We worked with Vizbox on the installation of a permanent projector at the Triskel building in Cork as part of the Island City Sculpture Trail. The housing unit was fabricated to a very high standard with multiple access points to assist installation. The technical features of the unit allow us to login remotely and check the temperatures and operation of the unit at any time. During the installation process Alan and his team were on hand to answer any questions we had about the networking of the Vizbox, the level of service was excellent."
